Tishamingo
Athens, Georgia-based blues-rockers Tishamingo begin their three-night stand at The Parrot. Featuring a steamy twin guitar lead reminiscent of another Georgia-based outfit, these guys had folks on their feet from the start. They play Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights beginning at 10 PM and will include a 6 PM Saturday matinee this time around.

I spent a few years in Athens. They had some of the best music back then and still do. It seems that town goes through a new rebirth in music every few years. REM = 80s / Widespread Panic = 90s / and now there is a new scene rolling with Jam Bands and the like.
